History EMI

Over 100 years ago, in 1897, EMI Indolec was founded in Utrecht, The Netherlands, using the firm name J.W.H. Uytenbogaart.

At first the company produces small electro motors and generators. Very soon this appeared to be very lucrative. EMI's products were known for their reliability and durability.

Because of the success of the firm, in the beginning of the 20th century the decision was made to change the name of the company to N.V. EMI.

In over a century, EMI has developed a unique program in designing, manufacturing and supplying fans and matching climate computers and alarm installations, especially designed for agricultural and industrial applications.

The success and the quality of EMI-products was well noticed and that's how EMI became a supplier of many well known brands such as: Philips, Husqvarna, the Dutch Navy, Ericsson, Itho and IBM.
At the top of the success, EMI had over 1400 employees.

During the years, EMI has changed owners a few times. But still: service and quality have always been the main priority of EMI.

Today, EMI is one of the brands of Vostermans Ventilation, being a perfect addition to the well known brands Multifan and Mf-Flex.
